Aftermarket Android GUI Applications

Hey, If you've clicked on this blog post there's a good chance you've already got an Aftermarket Android radio, and are looking for some info on how to change the appearance of the pre-installed dash, well it's quite an easy process to make changes to the look of your system.

As you've got an Android System you're capable of accessing the Google Play store, where you'll find a plethora of applications which can allow you to alter the appearance of the system's menu.

These applications aren't a once size fits all fix to change the style of your car's dash, but when you find the one that is right for your car, it can elevate the interior experience immensely!

We have a few recommendations from previous customers who have gone on to find a good application to change the menu for their system, and what we've found is that there are a few stand-out applications which really get the job done when it comes to visually upgrading the interior of your car, streamlining the Android Auto experience, and generally providing a better GUI for the system.

AGAMA Car Launcher

The AGAMA Car Launcher is one of the most documented applications which you can use on Android head units, it has a nice UI and allows for some cool customisation, but it is mainly used to change the layout of the UI elements so that you can have an easier way of navigating the systems options, features and storage.

We highly recommend you watch Joey's D.I.Y's video he has created so that you can see exactly what the application is capable of, as he does a better job of explaining than we ever could, he goes into some detail about the features, but also how to set up the application so that it will work on most Android head units!

Car Launcher Pro

Once again Joey has come in clutch with another installation setup and review of the Car Launcher Pro application, which operates like the AGAMA Car Launcher application. This application allows you to select a few themes which all involve in-app purchases, fortunately, you're allowed to use a 10-minute trial to see if you like the design of the GUI and any of the features of the application.

Car Web Guru

Car Web Guru is a good option if you're after more of a cluster style display for your system, as a good deal of the themes in this one is styled in a cluster fashion but do allow for several different themes.

We recommend having a search for what GUI applications you'd like, as there are a lot more to choose from, these are mainly the most supported ones.

These are the main ones we've seen people use, but we're always on the lookout for more, so if you've any information on a good alternative to these three applications please let us know, as we're able to make review videos and installation guides for customers!
