CONDITIONS OF USE

Terms of information. 

Should you converse via telephone call, you confirm your unconditional acceptance of the following terms and conditions. 

We cannot be held responsible for any inaccurate information given in accordance with verbal information given by the customers over the phone. Whilst we endeavour to provide accurate information in terms of compatible models over the phone, there is no 100% accuracy figure as for the best results, its always best that we see the car thats its being installed in, i.e., pictures etc. Also, its a customers responsibility to advise if the car has any upgraded features such as Amplified speakers, Fibre optic, reverse sensors, reverse camera, Bluetooth, Eco buttons, AUX, iPod/MP3, original GPS. We will not be held responsible if a customer fails to advise and then finds the model unsuitable upon installation.

The units terminology of the wording 'plug and play' must not be interpreted as plug and play connections. Although, the vast majority of the units are plug and play, on some occasions, modification may need applying to some connections. We cannot be held responsible if the wiring differs slightly. 

We cannot be held responsible for loss in radio signal if the purchased unit is not as clear as the original. On rare occasions, you may need to purchase a amplified booster antenna for the car. This applies to some DVB-T appliances too.

Photographs on our website are provided to assist you in identifying the pieces you require. We endeavour to ensure that the digital representations are as accurate as possible but please be aware that some variation may exist between the colour displayed on your monitor and the actual colour of the item in question. Also, with the OEM industry constantly updating, there maybe some small adjustments to the units firmware, graphical interface.

The representation of our product text within the sale page should only be expected on the product received and we are not responsible for buyers assumptions of items working with certain features of the car. For further detailed information, contact us with the relevant model and your query and we will be glad to confirm if its suitable or not.

The product is a aftermarket product so please be knowledgeable to the manufacturers warranty of the car to establish if our unit breaches any of the conditions of the manufacturer as we cannot be held responsible should they do so.

Installation 

It is imperative that you get the item installed by a registered auto-electrician. Whilst, all units are tried and tested before dispatch, on some occasions they can get damaged in transit so its advisable you get the designated installer to bench test the unit before fully installing which will save on labour costs. We will not be responsible for any installation costs/On-board diagnostic checks or relevant costs such as transport/time off work etc. Also, should there be any improper installation of the item that causes damage then we reserve the right to void the warranty and cancel the return process. 

Contract

The receipt by you of an order confirmation does not constitute acceptance of an order. Prior to our acceptance of an order, we may need to verify relevant information. We reserve the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or decline your order, or any portion thereof, even after your receipt of an order confirmation, for any reason. We also reserve the right to limit the order quantity on any item and to refuse service to any customer without prior notification.

In the event that goods are advertised at an incorrect price, we reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders, regardless of whether you have received an order confirmation email, and whether your payment has been received. In such an event we shall of course provide you with full and prompt refund.

Warranty

All our items carry a 2 year warranty.

Witson Zhuhai Co LTD warrants this product (including any accessories) against defects in material or workmanship as follows;

  1. LABOUR: For a period of 730 days from the date of purchase, if this product is determine to be defective, we will replace or repair the product, at its option, at no charge. After the warranty period, you must pay for all labour/parts charges.
  2. PARTS: In addition, Witson Zhuhai Co LTD will supply at no extra charge, new or rebuilt replacements in exchange for the defective parts for a period of 730 days after date of purchase.

To obtain warranty service, you must take the product, or deliver the product freight prepaid in either its original packaging or packaging affording an equal degree of protection to Witson Zhuhai Co LTD.

This warranty does not cover customer instructions, installation, set up adjustments or signal reception problems.

This warranty does not cover cosmetic damage or damage due to acts of God, accident, misuse, abuse, negligence, commercial use, or modification of, or to any parts of the product, including the antenna. This warranty does not cover damage due to improper operation or maintenance, connection to improper voltage supply, or attempted repair by anyone other than a facility authorized by Witson Zhuhai Co LTD to service the product. This warranty does not cover Products sold AS IS or WITH ALL FAULTS, or consumables (such as fuses or batteries).

Proof of purchase in the form of a bill of sale or receipted invoice which is evidence that the unit is within the Warranty period must be presented to obtain warranty service.

This warranty is invalid if the factory applied serial number has been altered or removed from the product.  

REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT AS PROVIDED UNDER THIS WARRANTY IS THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY OF THE CONSUMER. WITSON ZHUHAI CO LTD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FOR BREACH OF ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY ON THIS PRODUCT. EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANY IMPLED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ON THIS PRODUCT IS LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS WARRANTY.

From the point of receiving the product, you will have 28 days returns policy to return an item for a refund, should it go beyond then, then sadly, a refund is not a option. If you notify us of any faults within the 28 days from point of receiving, we will provide support to try and overcome the issues. Once we have provided adequate support via email, we will open the unit for a further 28 days return from the point of our last advisory email. Should we not hear back within the 28 days from our last piece of advice, we will close the returns option and then warranty cover is only applicable after this timeframe.

PRICING AND PAYMENT

On our Web site, all prices are in Pounds Sterling. Your credit card company will convert our Pounds Sterling charge into your home currency on your credit card statement. This price may vary slightly from the advertised Euro price due to exchange rate fluctuations. Our exchange rates are updated daily to minimise such variations. Therefore, all prices quoted in currencies other than Pounds Sterling are subject to confirmation.

CANCELLATION 

You may cancel your order prior to shipment by advising our UK helpdesk, (Working days exclude weekends and public holidays). Notification of cancellation must be in written form (by letter or email), notification by telephone is not sufficient. (This is in accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations 2000). You must have notified us and received a returns number from us; any items returned without a number will not be refunded and sent back.

When an order is cancelled according to the procedure described above the full purchase and shipping costs will be refunded to you as long as all conditions are met and the product has not been fitted, registered or has had manufactures security seals broken. This refund will be made promptly and certainly within 30 days, as is required by law. Refund will be made via the same medium as was used for payment..

We shall not be responsible to you whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise for incidental, special, indirect or consequential loss or damage, any loss of profit (direct or indirect), loss of sales, loss of goodwill or reputation, loss of business, third party claims, pure economic loss arising out of or in connection of the performance or non performance of our obligations under these terms and conditions including such damage as may be reasonably foreseeable at the date you order the goods.

Online customers 7 days cooling off period

The seven working day cooling-off period starts on the day after you receive the goods.

Telephone cancellation is not accepted.

We take pride in our work and won't release your car until we are fully satisfied with the installation, and you are too.

Why Timeliness Matters: Arriving at your designated time allows us to:

  • Finalize any necessary research on your vehicle.
  • Complete the installation process.
  • Assess the quality of the installation and make any necessary adjustments.
  • Perform any required maintenance on the system.
  • Install any firmware upgrades needed.

Additionally, when you return to pick up your vehicle, we'll provide a detailed overview of the new system's features, discuss the warranty, and inform you of any issues encountered during installation.

Pre-Installation Vehicle Condition: To avoid misunderstandings, the condition of your vehicle upon arrival will be documented, and any existing damages will be noted. This ensures clarity regarding the origin of any potential damages observed after the installation.

    While we work on your vehicle, we recommend you explore nearby amenities at Croft Retail Park, such as:

    • Costa Coffee: Enjoy a coffee while waiting.
    • Odeon Cinema: Catch a movie and relax.
    • Pure Gym: Fit in a workout.
  • Remain Outside the Vehicle:
    For safety and efficiency, we request that you stay outside the vehicle during installation. Our technicians need space to work without distraction or interference.

  • Customer Communication: If you have any questions or concerns at any point—before, during, or after installation—please do not hesitate to ask. We want to ensure your experience is positive and that any issues are addressed promptly.

 


 

Customer Disclaimer

 

  • Our Commitment to Quality: At Iceboxauto, we are committed to providing high-quality installation services. While we take every precaution to protect your vehicle's interior and components, we cannot guarantee that no damage will occur, especially with non-OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts.
  • Insurance and Liability: We advise all customers to ensure they have appropriate insurance coverage for their vehicle, as we are not liable for damage to any non-OEM items or parts that were not disclosed prior to installation. Please inform us of any special modifications or custom parts in your vehicle that might affect our work.
  • Handling Non-Standard Parts: We are not responsible for damages to custom or aftermarket parts during the installation process. Additionally, if previous modifications in your vehicle hinder our work, we will contact you to discuss how to proceed.
  • Post-Installation: Upon completion of the installation, the full service charge is due. If any issues arise after you leave our premises, please contact us immediately so we can address them. Depending on the issue, we may require you to schedule another appointment to resolve it. All Installation charges are final and are non-refundable.
  • Responsibility for Personal Belongings: We are not responsible for any personal belongings left in the vehicle during the installation process. Please check your vehicle before leaving to ensure all your items are accounted for.
  • Refund and Additional Charges: All installation charges are final once you leave our premises. If additional work is needed due to unforeseen complications or non-standard parts, further charges may apply. We will always discuss these with you beforehand to ensure transparency.
  • Third-Party Installations: We are not responsible for issues arising from installations performed by other auto electricians. Any problems with third-party installations, advice, or work must be addressed with the respective company.
  • Resolving Issues: We understand that mistakes can happen. Our priority is to resolve any issues promptly and to your satisfaction. Please bring any concerns to our attention as soon as possible, and we will work with you to correct them.
  • SIM Card Installation Notice: If your new unit requires a SIM card, please bring it with you and provide it to us before the installation begins. Some units require the SIM card to be installed directly into the back of the unit, and not all units come with a dongle. If we are not informed in advance, we may not be able to install the SIM card after the installation is completed. Your cooperation helps us ensure a smooth and complete setup of your in-car entertainment system.

 

Non-Standard Parts and Liability

 

  • Handling Custom or Non-Standard Parts: If your vehicle contains custom or non-standard parts, such as aftermarket trim, we will take all reasonable precautions to avoid damage. However, if we are unable to remove or work around these parts without potentially causing damage, we may proceed with the work at your discretion, and additional charges may apply depending on the complexity and amount of work already completed.
  • Liability for Non-OEM Parts: We cannot assume liability for damage to any non-OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts during installation. Since these parts may interact unpredictably with our work, we encourage customers to inform us of any modifications or customizations in advance.
  • Impact of Previous Modifications: If previous modifications or repairs to your vehicle affect our ability to perform the installation, we will contact you to discuss the best course of action. We are not responsible for any disruptions or additional work needed due to pre-existing conditions or non-standard installations.

Mobile Installation

  • Terms: Mobile installation fees are for a one visit only. All items will be tested during the installation and a tutorial of the workings of the system will undergo whilst engineer is on site. Once the installation has been signed off in acceptance of the recipient upon payment then it classed as an acceptance of standards. Should any issues appear beyond the engineer leaving then there is no onus on a revisits from the engineer and vehicle has to be brought to our depot for any warranty action needed. 

Payment and Issue Resolution

 

  • Payment Terms: The full payment for the installation is required upon completion of our work. If you encounter any issues with our installation, please notify us immediately so we can address them as promptly as possible.
  • Handling Installation Issues: Should any issues arise with the system or its installation, we will inform you promptly. Some issues may require communication with the product manufacturers, which could necessitate a return visit to resolve. We will work with you to ensure your vehicle meets an acceptable standard before you leave, which may involve temporarily re-installing the old unit or leaving some accessories partially installed, such as cameras.

 

Customer Responsibilities

 

  • Personal Belongings: We cannot be held responsible for any personal belongings left in your vehicle during the installation process. Please ensure you have removed all valuables and personal items from the vehicle before leaving it with us.
  • Finality of Installation Charges: All installation charges are final once you leave our premises. Should additional work be required due to unforeseen issues, further payment may be necessary. We will discuss these costs with you beforehand to ensure transparency and agreement.
  • Unexpected Work and Additional Costs: If the installation requires unanticipated work, particularly relating to non-OEM parts or previous modifications, additional charges may apply based on the complexity and scope of the work needed. We will communicate these details to you as soon as they are identified.

 

Third-Party Installations and Aftercare

 

  • Third-Party Installations: We are not responsible for any issues resulting from installations performed by other auto electricians. Any problems related to damage, incorrect installation, or advice from other companies must be addressed with those respective parties.
  • Post-Visit Issue Resolution: If you encounter any issues after leaving our premises, we cannot guarantee a same-day resolution due to varying degrees of complexity and workload. We may require you to schedule another appointment for a thorough diagnosis and resolution.
